Easily manage your repeat prescriptions

At Stortford Accident & Medical, we make it simple for enrolled patients to request repeat prescriptions for their ongoing medications. If the medicine has been prescribed previously and remains appropriate, we can usually issue a new prescription without the need for an appointment.

Who can request a repeat prescription?

Repeat prescriptions are available for enrolled patients taking regular medications for stable, long-term conditions. You’ll usually need to have had a consultation about your medication in the past 6 months.

If it has been longer, or if your condition or treatment has changed, our team may ask you to schedule an appointment for review.

How to request

The fastest way to request a repeat prescription is through your patient portal. You can also call reception during opening hours or visit in person to place your request.

Repeat prescription requests can take up to 72 working hours to process. If you need your medication urgently, a same-day option may be available for an additional fee.

You can request that your prescription be sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice.

Plan ahead

We recommend ordering your prescription 1–2 weeks before your medication runs out. This helps avoid delays and ensures you don’t miss any doses.
